Chris’s lifelong passion for construction and real estate was nurtured from an early age by his parents—Paul, a home builder, and Mary Lou, a real estate professional—who have worked together to build and sell custom homes since 1983. Born and raised in Canyon, just south of Amarillo, Chris pursued a degree in Business Administration at West Texas A&M University. Upon graduation, he joined his mother at Lyons Realty and played a pivotal role in expanding the firm into a thriving 60-agent operation across Amarillo, Canyon, and Lubbock. In 2016, he launched HOME By Lyons, carrying forward the family legacy of creating exceptional custom and semi-custom homes throughout the Texas Panhandle and South Plains. Under his leadership, the company has earned recognition for its quality, innovation, and client-focused approach.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Chris has been deeply engaged in industry and community leadership. He has served on the West Texas A&M University Foundation Board, the West Texas Home Builders Association Board, and held multiple leadership positions within both the Texas Panhandle Builders Association and the Texas Association of Builders. In recognition of his contributions to the industry, Chris received the Excellence Under 45 Award from TAB in 2019.

Chris succeeds Brett Martin, TAB’s 2025 President. Read more about the 2026 Senior Officers who will serve alongside President Chris Lyons here.
