Sunbelt Builders Show™ Set for August 3 - 4 at the Gaylord Texan
Chip and Joanna Gaines of Magnolia Homes will headline the two-day trade show.
AUSTIN, TEXAS – The Texas Association of Builders (TAB) is set to host its 16th annual Sunbelt Builders Show™ August 3 – 4 inside the Gaylord Texan in Grapevine, Texas. This event brings together thousands of Texas’ top residential home builders, developers and remodelers to learn about the latest technology, plan for the future, attend education sessions and listen to some of the nation’s top keynote speakers.
This year’s opening session speakers are TAB members Chip and Joanna Gaines of Magnolia Homes in Waco, Texas. Over the last 12 years, they have built the “Magnolia” brand into a home remodeling and design business, a real estate company, a retail store, a Bed and Breakfast and a television show, HGTV’s “Fixer Upper”. The Gaines’ will share with attendees on “How to Build a Brand” and grow your company. The opening session is slated for Wednesday, Aug. 3, at 9:15 a.m.
The two general sessions on Thursday are also must attends events. The opening topic at 9:15 a.m. is “Tiny Houses – A Movement or A Fad?”presented by Kim Lewis of Kim Lewis Designs and Jonathan White of J White Design + Build. Both have designed and built tiny homes and will share their experiences.
The afternoon general session speaker is Tim Medin with Counter Hack. He will speak on “Cyber Security: Staying Connected Without Leaving the Door Wide Open to Cybercriminals.” This 3:15 p.m. session is for anyone interested in protecting information assets at home or work.
In addition, there will be seven education sessions on the trade show floor. Topics range from energy code training and regulatory issues; to customer service; and smart home technology. Click here for a complete list of education sessions and descriptions.
All Sunbelt registrations include two-day access to the exhibit floor, education sessions and keynote speakers. The trade show floor will sport more than 285 booths, which will represent over 200 companies including 60 first-time Sunbelt vendors, an increase of 85 booths from a year ago.
