The Texas Association of Builders (TAB) is excited to announce that two of its members, Chip Dence and Justin MacDonald, were recently selected by Governor Abbott to serve on the Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners for terms set to expire on September 5, 2025. The board licenses master plumbers, journeymen, plumbers, and plumbing inspectors.
September is designated as NAHB's Associate Member Appreciation Month. In sincere appreciation for all they do, Randy Bowling, TAB's 2020 president, has signed a Proclamation in recognition of the time, energy, products and services offered by TAB’s associate members.
The Texas Association of Builders (TAB) revealed that the late Ron Connally will be inducted into the 2020 Texas Housing Hall of Honor as voted upon by the Texas Housing Hall of Honor Board of Governors. The ceremony will take place on Thursday, Nov. 12 at the JW Marriott in Austin, Texas. He will become the 30th member to join this elite group of trendsetters.
The Texas Association of Builders (TAB) was recently honored with four national awards. TAB won two Association Excellence Awards from the Executive Officers Council (EOC) of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) and two publication honors from Awards for Publication Excellence (APEX).
TAB announced the 2020 Star Awards winners. This year marked the first time in program history that the presentation of awards was revealed virtually via Zoom. The record setting 614 entries reflected in an additional four more Grand Awards and nearly 200 trophies being presented. The show moved to a virtual event after the Sunbelt Builders Show™ was canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
