TAB Adds 1,152 New Members

After months of preparation, training and planning, the Texas Association of Builders (TAB) membership drive was a huge success! The final tally is in. TAB has 1,152 new members, a 17-percent growth from 2017, thanks to the hard work of the 20 local home builders associations (HBA) that participated in the DIRECTDrive membership campaign.

Among the standouts:

The Texas Panhandle BA and the West Texas HBA tied for the most new members with 140 joining the fold in each association.

The Deep East Texas Association of Builders scored the largest percentage increase, growing their membership by an eye-popping 87-percent.

At the El Paso Association of Builders, the membership rolls increased from 148 to 257 after a boisterous two-days of phone calls.

Here’s a big thank you to the HBAs that participated in the Oliver Group Drive and training sessions. Also without the local leadership, volunteers who served on teams and our great HBA staffs this wouldn’t have been successful! Thank you!

Being a member of your local HBA means you’re now a part of the Texas Association of Builders and the National Association of Home Builders. There are so many resources on the state and national levels you should utilize, such as discounts and savings opportunities offered by many top companies. “I am extremely proud of the efforts of all our Builder and Associate members here in Texas during the Spring Recruitment Drive,” said TAB President T. Justin MacDonald. “

But it won’t stop here. I challenge every state to meet or exceed these goals. We all have a story to tell about how our membership has strengthened our business – whether it’s from the networking and leads, the education or the advocacy. We need to tell those stories – because when we represent more members of this great industry, we can accomplish even more.”
