TAB of the Year Awards
In an effort to recognize outstanding contributions to the industry by its members, the Texas Association of Builders will present awards for:
- Associate of the Year nomination form
- Association Accomplishment of the Year Award nomination form
- Builder of the Year nomination form
- Developer of the Year nomination form
- Distinguished Service Award nomination form
- Philanthropist of the Year nomination form
- Remodeler of the Year nomination form
Along with the Texas Housing Hall of Honor awards, these recognitions will be presented at the TAB Excellence in Leadership Dinner on October 22, 2011, at the Four Seasons Hotel in Austin during the Sunbelt Builders Show™.
A panel of previous winners along with TAB senior officers will judge the entries. For the “of the Year” awards, the grading is based on state association involvement (50%), local association involvement (30%), and national association involvement (20%). Contributions in these categories are judged on previous years’ involvement, as well as current year’s activities. Each candidate is judged independently and a final tabulation of the results will determine the winner.
The “Association Accomplishment of the Year” and “Distinguished Service” awards will be based upon 2011 contributions and achievements.
This link allows access to all of the forms for nominating deserving members for these awards. When making nominations, be aware that individuals currently serving as TAB officers are ineligible to receive these awards. The nomination forms should be completed and returned to the Texas Association of Builders, 313 E. 12th Street, Ste. 210, Austin, Texas 78701 by August 15, 2011. A letter of recommendation from the local association Executive Officer must accompany the forms. Award recipients will be featured in Texas Builder Magazine and a high-resolution digital photograph must accompany the nomination form.
Prior recipients are ineligible to receive consideration again for at least five (5) years after their previous award.
