HOMEPAC

Strength in Numbers:  10,000+

What Is HOMEPAC?

HOMEPAC, the Texas Association of Builders' (TAB) political action committee, is an essential part of the advocacy program at TAB. HOMEPAC provides contributions in support of pro-housing candidates for both statewide office and the Texas Legislature. As state and local laws and regulations become an ever-increasing presence in your day-to-day business, HOMEPAC works to ensure that the voice of the home building and development industry is heard by lawmakers. The strength and ability of our industry to impact public policy decisions affecting your business depends solely on your participation and contributions.

How Does HOMEPAC Work?

HOMEPAC is governed by a Board of Trustees, who represent all areas of the state and their local home builders associations. The trustees determine which political candidates will receive support based on the following criteria:

Why Is HOMEPAC Important?

Without HOMEPAC's participation, decisions affecting the future of the industry will be influenced by other industries and activist groups, many of whom represent interests directly opposed to our own. It is only through the voluntary contributions of our members that HOMEPAC can help preserve a positive political climate for the home building and development industry in Texas.

What Are The Contribution Levels?

HOMEPAC has a variety of suggested levels of donation:

Members who donate to the Capitol Club, Diamond Key, Platinum Key and Gold Key levels will receive a lapel pin and special recognition at PAC events.

Can You Afford Not To Participate?

Changes in state law or regulations could be detrimental to your business. Your contribution to HOMEPAC is an investment in the future of our industry and one of the most affordable options for political involvement. HOMEPAC represents your political interests at the state level and is prohibited by law from donating to federal election campaigns. Additionally, HOMEPAC is forbidden by state law from accepting corporate donations and, therefore, may only accept personal or non-corporate checks or credit cards. There are no limits to what an individual may contribute to HOMEPAC.

When the 10,000 members of the Texas Association of Builders come together through HOMEPAC, the home building industry's presence at the Texas Capitol is stronger than ever. Please join the other building professionals in Texas by becoming a HOMEPAC donor today. For more information about HOMEPAC, call (800) 252-3625 and ask to speak with the Texas Association of Builders Government Affairs Staff.

HOMEPAC contributions are non-refundable.  If a credit card has been charged in error a full refund will be given.  Members who donate at the Capitol Club, Diamond Key, Platinum Key and Gold Key levels will receive annual renewal notifications.  A thirty (30) day written notice is required to cancel automatic payment plan memberships.  Cancellation requests should be sent to:
