Q: Why should I enter?
A: The Star Awards is the Southwest's premier building industry awards program. Winning (even being a finalist) sets you apart as one of the best in a particular category. When you win one of these awards, you have concrete, objective, third-party affirmation that you can present to a potential client.
Q: I'm just across the border in Oklahoma. Can I enter?
A: Yes! The Star Awards accepts entries from the entire Southwest, including Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico and Oklahoma.
Q: If I'm not a member, can I still enter?
A: Yes! The Star Awards is open to Members and Non-members. Just call (800) 252-3625 for a username and password.
Q: How do I find my Username and Password?
A: If you are a member of TAB, the username will be your first and last name all lower case with no spaces, Example: johnsmith and the password will be your NAHB PIN #, Example: 1234567. Problems? Call (800) 252-3625.
Q: Where do I get an entry form?
A: It's so easy! Enter online by clicking here.
Q: I have last year's call for entries. Do I need to get an updated copy?
A: YES! Categories have been updates and new categories have been added. See a list of categories here.
Q: How many categories can I enter?
A: There is no limit to the number of categories you may enter or the number of entries per category.
Q: How important are the photo requirements?
A: Very important. We need print quality photographs of your project. Project photographs of winning entries will be printed in the Jan./Feb. issue of Texas Builder magazine.
Q: When are the 2010 deadlines?
A: Friday, June 18, 2010 is the Early Bird deadline and Friday, July 9, 2010 is the Final deadline.
